Wear comfortable clothing and footwear. High heels, sandals and flip-flops are not permitted in the Arena for safety reasons. Athletic shoes are encouraged. Do not wear reflective clothing.
Glasses are not necessary for most people to see clearly through our adjustable head-mounted displays. Though they are permitted, we encourage playing without glasses or recommend wearing contacts.
All personal items (cell phones, sunglasses, jewelry etc.) must be removed and stored before suiting up. Lockers are provided. MassVR is not responsible for any loss or theft of personal items while on the premises.
MassVR-Bloomington is a comprehensive Virtual Reality gaming complex with many different Virtual Reality experiences suitable for most ages. Our knowledgable and friendly staff will help walk you through our offerings to help you choose the right experience or experiences for your group size and budget. You will be transported into new worlds, play video games like your in it and bond with family and friends all while participating in friendly competitions.

Yes, we offer large group/private party packages suited for 6 or more people. 6-16 can be booked easily online through our party page. Over 16 players please contact our General Manager, Joe McDonnell at Joemcd@massvr.com for more information.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled start time to get checked in. We can not extend play time if the start time is delayed due to late arrival. Arena sessions start at your designated time. Players arriving after the session has started will not be refunded.
The Simulator Room is a walk-in and play experience and does not have to be reserved. You can purchase 5 or 10 ride punch cards for single or group use.

Pre-Booked Reservations: Pre-booked reservations are non-refundable. You may reschedule a reservation no later than 72 hours prior to the start of your scheduled reservation. Confirmation of rescheduling is at the discretion of management. This includes, but is not limited to, reservations made for the Arena, Rift Pods and The Beat Lab.
Events: Events that have been confirmed by payments are ineligible for a full refund. A partial refund of up to 15% of the total cost is available only if there is a reduction in scheduled players, and must be completed no later than 72 hours prior to the start of your scheduled event. Rescheduling of events is allowed up to 7 days prior to the event.
Gameplay
Each session lasts 45-50 minutes, including briefing/debriefing, immersed virtual training, and competitive gameplay. You will be immersed in the virtual world for approximately 25-30 minutes. An additional 15 minutes in the replay room after your session is included and highly recommended. Please allow a minimum of an hour to complete your entire experience.
ARENA- We have a minimum height requirement of 48 inches tall. However, younger players may or may not be cognitively able to fully grasp the concept of the game and the safety rules. There will be no reimbursement If a player is removed for safety reasons. Participants under 18 years of age require a parent or legal guardian’s signature on our Release of Liability waiver. Children must be supervised at all times.
Simulator Room/Rift Pods/Beat Lab- Our recommended age is 5 and up. There are some rides and games with mature content and our staff will help navigate those for our younger patrons.
MassVR is not responsible for the safety of children left unsupervised and children under high school age should not be left unsupervised. You may be asked to exit gameplay if your child requires supervision.
ARENA-Our system is designed in such a way that motion sickness is not likely. Most participants do not experience any symptoms of motion sickness while playing.
Simulator Room/Rift Pods- Motion sickness can occur with certain rides and games. If you are prone to motion sickness please ask our staff to direct you to experiences that are less likely to cause this.
No, our system is designed so that you avoid obstacles such as walls. If you follow our safety rules and guidelines you will have a fun, collision-free experience!
Our physical gaming arena is 4000 square feet.
