Safety & Sanitation Information for MassVR Bloomington
We are making in depth efforts that go beyond our standard dedication to cleanliness, to ensure that all our equipment and facilities remain sanitized and safe for customers’ continued enjoyment. We also are encouraging CDC recommendations for health and safety. Our staff will be equipped with masks and gloves as they curate your experiences and maintain our equipment. To help better control the flow of customers in and out of the building, and keep in line with state recommended social gathering guidelines, we have made the following VR entertainment as features that will be booked by the hour:
*Unlimited Simulator Room ($15/hour per person for small groups)
*Arena Small Groups(No walk-in’s, Must book and pay as a group)
*Rift Pods(Book small groups)
*Beat Lab(Book small groups)
You can book your sessions online, over the phone, or in person, for any available time slot. Rather than utilizing our traditional punch cards, you can utilize the Sim Room for an entire hour for only $15.00 per player. There is no limit to how many experiences you would like to immerse yourself in for that hour and you can book your time now online! To help support social distancing, we are limiting the number of customers in our Sim Room to individual small groups. To further support social distancing we have temporarily adjusted our Arena bookings to be limited to singular family/friend groups. This means that once a group has booked a time slot for the arena, that time slot will be blacked out to any other prospective groups or walk-ins, regardless of remaining player spots. This change is important, as it means if you are bringing people together to play, you’ll need to pay and book together as a group. Future and fast arriving updates are in the works for our online booking that will help simplify the process of sharing booking details and information with your friends and family, to make this temporary adjustment easier. As a result of this booking intensive change, we are also temporarily removing our reduced Walk-In pricing for the Arena and our standard pricing will apply in all situations.
Partitions will be in place in our new video poker room according to the Illinois state requirements. Our video poker machines will have plexiglass dividers between each unit and machines will be wiped down thoroughly between players.
Despite some of these major changes, Mass VR continuously is seeking to make your VR experience fun and without worry. We will not actively force any recommendations upon our customers, but encourage customers to adhere to them all the same, with both the safety of themselves and others in mind. Due to the nature of our Arena VR experiences, guaranteeing recommended social distancing can be complex. With this in mind, our staff will NOT interfere with your immersion to try and enforce distancing and will only physically touch you if there is an immediate physical danger. We trust our customers to make wise decisions regarding their health and their actions, and leave it to our customers to acknowledge any potential distancing risks that may exist in full VR immersion.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we make some of these changes so that we can better serve you. We look forward to providing thrilling new experiences and possibilities to our customers as we aim to create a community of people experiencing the new tomorrow of entertainment. We can’t wait for you to join us again as you zipline across our arenas, rock out on Beatsaber, and take to the skies with the power of Virtual Reality. We’ll see you this weekend and thank you for being a part of Mass VR.
